Painting the Lowcountry
Welcome! Here’s a sneak peek of what creatively motivates me when painting our surrounding Lowcountry landscapes-
The soft marsh grasses, ever-changing tidal creeks and mysterious Spanish moss draping from live oaks make up the recipe for my favorite scenes.
When painting the scenery of our lovely Lowcountry, I strive to create a playground for your imagination- inviting the viewer in; and I aim to remind others of what a special place we live.
A love of large landscapes!
This 5 foot oil painting captures the long shadows chasing over the colorful marsh grass as a flock of herons settle at sunset. The scene peeks through palms deepened in color by their dusky shadows.
