After earning an undergraduate degree in Art and minor in Sociology from Georgia College, Tessa returned to Savannah to start her career in Art education. After two years of teaching a variety of art related classes to PreK to 12th grade students in a small private school, she paused to pursue a Masters degree from SCAD.
Returning to teaching with her Masters in Teaching degree she decided to devote her career to public education. With over 15 years in the classroom, Tessa has taught many art-based courses such as: yearbook design, Ceramic arts, Fiber arts, Drawing, Painting, Comprehensive Art I and II, Printmaking, and AP2D Studio Art.
Mrs. Parker encourages students to try new things while problem solving and exploring all kinds of media. She currently teaches AP2D and Printmaking at Savannah Arts Academy in Savannah, GA.
